Overview
Shakuhachi Music is an app for listening to a music collection. This policy describes the information practices of the app itself. It matches the app as it is built: there is no account, and the developer does not run a service that receives a profile of how you listen.
Preferences and playback information stay on your device. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. This policy does not describe Apple’s own data practices. Those are in Apple’s privacy policy.
Information We Collect
The app does not collect account or profile information for the developer. It has no sign-in, registration, or user account.
The app does not ask for, and the developer does not receive through the app, your name, email address, phone number, postal address, location, contacts, or photos. It does not use the camera or the microphone. It does not read a payment card.
The app does not include an analytics service, a crash-reporting service, an advertising service, or a tracking service. It does not use cookies or web analytics. It does not send the developer a telemetry stream. It does not upload favorites, listening history, or your language choice to a server operated by the developer.
The app does not offer user-generated content, push notifications, or iCloud sync of your library. It does not request permission to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Information Stored on Your Device
The app stores some information locally so it can remember how you use it:
- pieces you mark as favorites
- listening history, including a playback position so a piece can resume
- the language you choose for the interface, and whether you have confirmed that choice
Favorites and listening history are written to a file in the app’s local storage on the device. The language choice is written to the app’s local preferences on the device. The app reads subscription status from StoreKit and keeps the result in memory so Premium tracks can play during use. That status is not uploaded to the developer.
Removing the app deletes this local information, subject to any backup your device makes on its own. There is no developer account to delete.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Premium access is an auto-renewable yearly subscription sold through Apple’s App Store. The app uses StoreKit to show the product, complete a purchase, restore purchases, and read whether the subscription is active.
Apple processes the payment. The developer does not receive your complete payment-card details through the app. The app does not contain its own payment form.
The price shown in the app is the price StoreKit provides from the App Store. Apple handles the charge, renewal, and any refund request under Apple’s applicable terms. This policy does not restate how Apple stores purchase records.
Analytics, Advertising and Tracking
The app does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. It does not show advertisements. It does not use App Tracking Transparency, because it does not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
Third-Party Services
The app is built with Apple’s system frameworks. StoreKit is used for App Store purchases. Apple’s media frameworks play audio on the device and can show the current piece in the system Now Playing surface. Those are features of the operating system, not a separate service operated by the developer.
The app does not link a third-party analytics, advertising, or cloud SDK. It does not call a developer-operated remote API, and it does not store your library in a developer cloud.
The app is allowed to use the network so the system can reach the App Store for product information and purchases. That access is not used to send the developer a record of what you play.
Children’s Privacy
The app does not offer registration and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a child sends personal information to the support address below, contact that address and the correspondence can be deleted from the support mailbox.
Data Security
The information the app stores for you remains on your device. The developer does not keep an account database of people who use the app. Device security is the protection around that local information. No method of storage is perfect.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated when the app’s practices change. The date above will change with the text. The copy bundled with a version of the app is the text for that version. When a public web address is published, that address is the copy intended for the App Store listing.
